That was at the beginning of 2020, specifically in February, when Facebook announced that its application would stop working in Windows 10 operating system. Days later, the application disappeared from the Microsoft Store and this is what we were until today in March 2021.
The Facebook Accessibility app is back, but with changes and that is that Facebook for Windows 10 is now PWA, a progressive web app, with all that this means when it comes to receiving improvements and updates.
The new Facebook app which, among other improvements, has the option to use dark mode (as in the web version) and the traditional lighting mode.
Another feature that you will notice is that it will feel much faster than browsing Facebook from the web itself when accessing Facebook from the browser, so if you are still using this network and doing it from your computer, then it is a good alternative.
This new application is more complete, fast and responsive than the previous one, which is probably due to the fact that it is just a progressive web application, that is, it is a Facebook website packaged as PWA for Windows 10.
The new Facebook app you can download from the link will not be able to work on all versions of Windows 10. It will be necessary to have at least Windows 10 May 2019 Update or later.
