Twitch Introduces New Stories Feature

Twitch has announced the availability of a new feature on its mobile application - Stories. This feature bears resemblance to similar features on Snapchat, Instagram, and other social media platforms.

Twitch Stories empower streamers to share images, text, and clips that expire after 48 hours. The announcement of this feature was first made in July.

Initially, the ability to create Twitch Stories was granted to partners and affiliates who had streamed at least once in the last 30 days. However, it will be made available to all users after updating to the latest version of the app. Users can view these stories at the top of their feed.

Access to this feature will be gradually rolled out to eligible users by the end of the week, as more content creators meet the requirements.

Furthermore, creators with at least 30 subscribers, including gifted subscriptions, can create stories exclusively for their subscribers. Twitch recommends using this feature to add value to their supporter's subscriptions through exclusive content.

Twitch encourages the use of Stories to facilitate communication with followers, schedule updates, and add visually engaging elements. Notifications will be sent to followers when a streamer publishes a story, with the option to control notification settings for frequency.

Simultaneously, creators can track the total views and interactions for each story they publish, even after its expiration.
