Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has directed the removal of 716 names from terrorism lists all at once for the first time, according to *Extra News* channel.
The channel added, "This removal is part of President Sisi's directive to review the legal status of individuals, whether detained or listed on terrorism lists, and to act swiftly in their cases. This is in response to the National Human Rights Strategy, aimed at achieving swift justice and reinforcing the rule of law."
It continued, "This decision confirms President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi's care for his people by giving them a chance to turn a new page, integrate into society as responsible citizens who protect their country and live in security on its soil."
In response, the Public Prosecution acted on the president's directive, releasing hundreds of previously detained individuals and requesting the court to remove hundreds of names from the terrorism lists today.
The statement concluded, "This is the first time such a large number has been removed from the terrorism lists in one go. The review process will continue without interruption, ensuring that the rule of law always prevails in the New Republic."
