"Meta AI" Officially Arrives in Egypt, the Middle East, and North Africa

Meta announced today the launch of its artificial intelligence assistant, "Meta AI," in the Middle East and North Africa region. This cutting-edge tool equips users with the ability to learn, innovate, and stay informed about topics and people of interest.

The rollout of the AI assistant is happening gradually across the region, with full-feature access already available in key markets, including Egypt, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, and Iraq.  

Users can easily access "Meta AI" through the blue circle icon in Meta’s suite of applications—Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger—without requiring any prior registration.  

This feature can be used in group chats within these applications by simply typing "@Meta AI" to engage with the assistant for quick searches, brainstorming ideas, or planning with friends.

For instance, users planning a spring trip with their families and looking for islands within a six-hour flight from the UAE can mention "@Meta AI" in a group chat to instantly receive a list of suitable destinations tailored to their preferences for discussion.  

The "Meta AI" assistant is built on the latest version of "Llama 3.2," Meta's largest and most advanced language model. It has the capability to generate text, images, and even animate visuals directly within Meta’s applications.  

Users can explore the image-generation feature "Imagine" by simply typing "Imagine" , followed by a detailed description of the image they want to create. For example, entering "Imagine a tiger wearing a jacket and drinking tea in a café" prompts "Meta AI" to generate the image instantly, with an option to animate it.  

As part of the geographical expansion of "Meta AI," Meta is also introducing the feature in Arabic, making it more accessible to a wider audience across the region.

To celebrate the official launch of "Meta AI" in the Middle East and North Africa, Meta is introducing a content series titled "Elevating Every Moment", aimed at helping users maximize the benefits of "Meta AI."  

This series will provide useful tips, real-world use cases, and detailed guidance for users, in collaboration with leading content creators on Instagram across the region.
